Quick answer
KnotChat is an OmeTV alternative for people who'd rather type than turn on a camera. It matches you one-on-one with a random stranger for anonymous text chat, with no signup and no video. Skip to someone new anytime and report abuse in one tap. It's free on the web and on Android.
